Mitchell S. “Mitch” Rosenthal, M.D. is president of the Rosenthal Center for Addiction Studies a nonprofit institution designed to meet the informational needs of healthcare professionals, policy makers, and members of the public confronting issues of drug use and addiction.
A pioneer in the treatment of substance abuse, Dr. Rosenthal was founder of Phoenix House, the nation's leading private, non-profit provider of substance abuse services. He began work in the field in 1965 as a psychiatrist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California (1965-1967), where he established the first service-sponsored therapeutic community, successfully treating both alcoholics and drug addicts.
As a leading advocate for the treatment community, Dr. Rosenthal chaired the New York State Advisory Council on Substance Abuse from 1985 to 1997. He has been a White House advisor on drug abuse and a special consultant to the Office of National Drug Control Policy. A graduate of Lafayette College, Dr. Rosenthal earned his medical degree at the State University of New York's (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center. He served his residencies - in adult, child, and community psychiatry at Kings County Psychiatric Hospital, and the Staten Island Mental Health Society. He is a lecturer in psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and was awarded an honorary degree (Doctor of Humane Letters) by SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2002.
Kevin Kirchoff

Kevin has an MBA from Columbia University and a CPA. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Trinity Church Wall Street. Trinity Church manages an endowment of investments and commercial properties in Manhattan that enables its philanthropic activities aligned with its mission and goals.
Previously Kevin was a Senior Associate Dean of Finance and Administration at New York University's school of Public Health and was associated with addiction services as CFO of Phoenix House, the national non-profit. His earlier experience also included public accounting and in Citibank investment services as an internal auditor. He lives in Westchester NY with a son and daughter who are both attending college.
CHIP FISHER
Board member
Chip Fisher is a serial entrepreneur and President of Fisher Wallace Laboratories, a medical device company based in New York City which focuses on the treatment of both psychiatric symptoms as well as drug and alcohol addiction.
Chip was educated at Harvard University, and founded Fisher Wallace Laboratories in 2006 with the late Martin Wallace, Phd to market what is now known as the Fisher Wallace Stimulator, which is FDA cleared for the treatment of depression, anxiety and insomnia. The company has published research on the treatment of both drug and alcohol addiction, with the method of action being that cortical stimulation may be having an effect on the dopamine receptors, and the device may also be used to decrease anxiety and insomnia during detoxification.
Chip is a member of the advisory board of the Avery Fisher Artist Program, which grants prizes to outstanding instrumentalists each year, both in the form of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and Avery Fisher Prize, for achievement in the arts.
His other interests include painting, squash, horseback riding and non-fiction books. He lives with his wife and two sons in New York City.
STEVE IVY

Steve Ivy started business in 1964, at the age of 14, advertising rare coins for sale in national publications. Six years later, at the age of 20, he incorporated and opened his business in a downtown Dallas high rise. In 1976 he incorporated a sister auction company. Steve managed the business as well as serving as chief buyer, buying and selling hundreds of millions of dollars of coins during the 1970’s and early 1980’s.
In 1982, James Halperin merged his company with Steve’s, and the name of the corporation was changed to Heritage. Steve’s primary responsibilities now include management of the marketing and selling efforts of the company, the formation of corporate policy for long-term growth, and corporate relations with financial institutions. He remains intimately involved in all 30 categories Heritage deals in today. Steve engages in daily discourse with industry leaders on all aspects of the fine art and collectibles business, and his views on market trends and developments are respected throughout the industry. He previously served on both the Board of Directors of the Professional Numismatists Guild (past President), and The Industry Council for Tangible Assets (past Chairman). Steve’s keen appreciation of history is reflected in his active participation in other organizations, including past board positions on the Texas Historical Foundation and the Dallas Historical Society. He is also an avid collector of Texas books and manuscripts and owns one of the finest collections in private hands.
Steve is a past Board Chair of the Dallas Challenge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health, education and welfare of youth from the greater Dallas area. Steve is also a past Finance Chair of the Phoenix House of Texas. Phoenix House and its affiliates are collectively the largest non- profit alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention facility in the nation. Steve currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Center for Policy Analysis, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization.
SHIRLEY LORD ROSENTHAL

Shirley Lord Rosenthal has served on the Board of Directors for Phoenix House Foundation, Inc. since 2006 and is a contributing editor at Vogue. She is an advisor to the Shorenstein Center for Media, Press and Public Policy at Harvard and to the American Academy of Dermatology. She also serves on the board of the New York City Police Foundation.
Ms. Lord Rosenthal was born in London where she worked in turn for three evening newspapers, first the Star, then The London Evening Standard and finally The London Evening News. On moving to New York, Ms. Lord Rosenthal became vice president of Colgate Palmolive running the Helena Rubinstein division. Ms. Lord is the author of five best-selling novels, two "bibles" of health and beauty and an autobiography. As well as contributing to Vogue, she writes for a number of magazines, including Departures.
DOUGLAS E. SCHOEN

Douglas Schoen is a Democratic campaign consultant and a founding partner and former principle strategist for Penn Schoen Berland. Mr. Schoen has authored numerous books and is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Fox News and other publications. He has lectured at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
Mr. Schoen worked for former President Bill Clinton, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and a number of United States Senators and Governors. He has also worked for the heads of states of over 15 countries and large corporations such as Time Warner, Procter& Gamble and AT&T.
JENNA E. LEVINE

Jenna E. Levine is a Partner in Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz's Corporate Department. She focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and capital markets transactions.
Ms. Levine received a B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2001. She completed a J.D. in 2008 at Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, received the Paul R. Hays Prize in Civil Procedure and served as online editor of the Columbia Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Levine worked as an associate at an investment banking firm.
